The Pill is designed to be compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Have you ever forgotten to take your birth control pill? It can happen to anyone. With The Pill iPhone App, you can set reminders that may help you avoid missing a dose.

The Pill app will alert you to take your birth control pill daily at a time of your choosing through local notification alerts, similar to SMS messages. The app does not require active use to receive notifications and can function in airplane mode.

Aside from a simple alarm, The Pill app automatically manages the 7-day stop period and the 21 days when you are actively taking the birth control pill. If you're on a 28-day pack, daily alerts will be issued, excluding the 7-day break period. Notifications will only be sent during the 21 days when you are taking your pill.

You can easily track when to take your pill, compare it with your actual pack, and monitor whether any doses have been missed, among other features:

• Customizable alert sounds and background colors
• Email alerts option
• Additional alert request functionality

While the contraceptive pill is widely used, correct and consistent usage is essential for its effectiveness. Some types require strict adherence to daily timing, making The Pill app a crucial tool in preventing unintended pregnancies.

Recommended practice includes taking the pill in the morning to allow time for recall if forgotten. Remembering during waking hours is critical since exceeding a certain delay greatly affects contraceptive reliability.

To receive notifications, users must enable them in iPhone settings while being connected to the internet. WiFi connectivity might interfere with alerts, especially during iPhone sleep mode; thus, using a 3G connection is advised. Though The Pill app can function offline, continuous operation is necessary for alarm functionality. While efforts are made to ensure proper app performance, we cannot guarantee 100% notification delivery.
